Good bye

Hello everyone, I just wanted to make an announcement that I won't be using this blog anymore because I have made another blog, and would be using that one more often, maybe sometimes, I'll be here too, but will be on that one mostly. Actually, I had to switch my google account for some reason, so I decided to make a blog on that account to be more convenient. I sure will miss this blog a lot as I've been here for nearly seven years, and have a lot of memories attached to it, my other blog is also very much the same, here's the address : https://ammarascreativecreations.blogspot.com/ Hope to see you there, Goodbye!

Improving

It was just yesterday, I was scrolling on my blog to check that if the changes I had made in the format were applied successfully, when, I accidentally clicked on the "older posts" option. It took me all the way back to my earliest posts on my blog, a feeling came to me, a feeling of gratitude, and at the same time a foolish feeling.  I felt foolish because of the vocabulary, and format in which I had written all those poems, and stories, a memory also flashed in my mind that how I had been really obstinate about publishing all my posts in English, because at that time, I was in school, and in my school, the students were forced to speak English most of the time. I too thought that English was better than Urdu, and I had argued with my mother to translate whatever came to my mind in English so I will post it on my blog, and my mother was constantly trying to explain me that you should write whatever is coming in your mind in the language which you have the vocabulary of, but...

Green, and white

The month of August comes bringing back the flags that are not to be seen  until August starts  bringing the lush green grass,  and the rains of mercy along.  The shops get loaded with flags,  badges, and green, and white accessories  that are just to be used till the fourteenth of August  As the date passes away,  the shops get rid of  the unsold flags,  and the people free themselves  from the weight of metal badges,  and green, and white accessories, to start their lives again  from the normal routine,  for this green, and white,  was just till fourteenth.

paper man

Sensitive, and light, but folded very tight, full of colours very bright He discovers them one by one, as he walks every step, and opens every fold As time passes, and more folds open, pattern changes, and the folds once tight, now become very loose Until one day,  they all open up at once leaving nothing behind, but a faded white paper,  that was once very bright.

Thoughts

Thoughts are free, they're always wild, yet sometimes harsh, but  sometimes mild they help us reflect on the bright, and dark side They come to us all the time to me, they flood in my at bed time lying on my bed in the dark, I think about the actions I took all day the phrases I heard, the people I met, the hurt, or exited I felt, the thoughts I had all day long they all come to me at once,  when I’m in my bed Then, forgiving, and forgetting them all, I soon fall, asleep in my bed, to start the next day with new, and positive thoughts

Short story: The rule breaker

The signal blazed red, and all the drivers pushed the brakes, Ahmed was in a hurry, because he was having a street race with the car pulling up behind, he scanned the road quickly, there was no police officer around. He pressed the race, and sped off. He tried to have a glance at the back mirror to get an update of the car he was racing with. He looked up, and found the mirror slightly tilted, so the focus was not directly at the back, it was slightly towards the left.  He took off a hand from the wheel to adjust the mirror, and that was his mistake. The car coming wrong way crashed crashed squarely in his bonnet. In his attempt to adjust the mirror, he didn't even saw the car coming from the opposite sideIt all happened in a fraction of a second that none of the drivers had time to shift to another lane. Fire blazed up, and Ahmed's head, tilted to the other side, stayed there, his eyes half closed, and his hair scattered with the shattered glass from the windscreen. Cars skidd...

A visit to the dentist

I pushed open the glass door, and stepped inside. The waiting area was lined with metal benches, and a few of them were occupied. I walked a few steps, and sat on a bench. The white walls were lined with posters regarding tooth care, sponsored by different tooth brush, and toothpaste companies. The atmosphere was stuffed with the smell of toothpaste.  A girl around 11, stepped out of the surgery room, along with her mother, who was holding her as she weeped on her arm. "Mama's princess", I thought. The assistant poked his head out of the surgery room, and called "Number 13". A few people shuffled in their seats to check their number receipts, but everyone looked up at the assistant blankly, from their blank looks, the assistant figured out that the patient wasn't there, "Number 13 is not here, okay then, number 14", he said. I got up from my seat, and walked towards the surgery room. It looked like a thousand miles walk to me, and my legs suddenly...
